The following is a list of e-newsletters from organizations that examine a wide range of issues involving women and religion. The way to sign up for the e-news updates is also included.


Faith in Public Life:   A daily list of faith and political news stories with links to the original articles. The organization is a strategy center which seeks to create a unifying faith movement advocating for the common good using media as a tool.

Women’s E-News:   A news service covering issues pertaining to women as well as women’s perspectives on public policy. It features international journalists who report on a wide range of issues, from the health and environment to personal stories about women.

Institute for Women’s Policy Research:   A research center which both conducts research as well as distributing its findings in order to address the needs of women. Research topics include employment, democracy, society, health & safety, family and poverty. The email updates contain the latest research.

Project Education Sudan:   Project Education Sudan: An organization helping southern Sudanese communities to build start and maintain schools. The email newsletter updates are about the progress of school construction as well as offering constructive and practical ways to help.

Center for Women’s Global Leadership:   A group based in Rutgers University, which develops and facilitates women’s leadership particularly in areas of human rights and social justice. The organization is particularly interested in United Nations events. The e-newsletter focuses on upcoming events and updates from conferences and ways to get involved.

Women’s Environmental and Development Organization:   An international organization focusing on women and their critical role in social, economic and political spheres. The group’s interests include climate change and United Nations reform. Their email updates are about upcoming events and ways to take action.

The White House Project:   A group which aims to advance women’s political leadership by training women to be leaders with the goal of filling the political pipeline with a diverse critical mass of women. Their newsletter promotes training events for women and networking among women leaders.

Women’s Refugee Commission:   An advocacy group working towards improving the lives of refugee and displaced women. A watchdog group which both speaks out on issues of concern and provides opportunities for refugee women to speak for themselves. Their e-newsletter focus on upcoming events.

Women of Faith in Action for New Directions:   An organization which provides educational programs on topics about peace, inter-religious dialogue and theological reflection. The emails contain timely news stories about religious topics.

UNICEF, Unite for Children:   An international organization which focuses on children, and particularly their health, education and protection. The newsletter contains upcoming events, information on issues, and ways to learn more.
